DESCRIPTION

This suit is of Swedish origin, made sometime during the late 1950s, and produced by the brand J.A. Peters. The fabric is lightly mottled in various shades of grey, but the overall impression is a light, silvery grey.

The jacket is single-breasted with a three-button front closure. It features horizontal welted front pockets and a breast pocket, with a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back is straight and features two vents. Inside, it is fully lined with a striking striped fabric. There are four internal pockets in total – a larger pocket on each side, plus on the left side a smaller lower pocket and a higher pen pocket.

The trousers have slightly slanted front pockets, a zip fly, and a flat front with no pleats. At the back, there is a single pocket on the right side with button closure.

In terms of condition, the overall impression is good, though there are some minor imperfections visible upon closer inspection. There is a small flaw in the fabric on one shoulder, and some light discolouration both inside and out. The trousers show a few marks resembling grease stains. These are visible in the photos; however, the camera tends to accentuate such details, and the stains are less noticeable in person. It is also possible that they could be removed entirely with careful spot cleaning.
