DESCRIPTION
This suit is of Swedish origin, most likely made in the early 1950s or possibly a bit earlier. It was produced by Collijns and was once sold in the Bergmans store in Uppsala, a city in central Sweden. It is made from a dark blue pinstripe fabric.
The jacket is single-breasted and fastens with three buttons. It has horizontal front pockets with flaps and a breast pocket. There is a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back is straight and lacks vents, which is typical for the era. Inside, it is fully lined and has three inner pockets, one large on each side and a small one on the left side.
The trousers have double pleats, slightly slanted front pockets, and belt loops. They have a zipper fly, and on the inside of the waistband, there are buttons for braces.
The condition is generally very good, with the only notable issue being some light discolouration in the lining, especially in the trousers. However, this is not visible when the suit is worn and does not affect the overall impression. Please study the photos and form your own opinion of the condition.
SIZE
The size corresponds to a modern EU 50 (US/UK 40). The waist of the trousers is currently slightly narrower, but there is plenty of material to let out if needed. Please scroll down for the exact measurements and seam allowances.
