DESCRIPTION
This waistcoat bears no labels; however, we can state with confidence that it is of Swedish origin. It was made sometime in the early 1900s. What distinguishes this waistcoat from most other surviving Swedish examples of the period is that it is not black, but dark brown. It is, however, very dark in tone and appears almost black.
It is single-breasted and fastens with seven buttons. It features lapels and three front pockets - a breast pocket on the left-hand side and two lower pockets, one on each side. At the back, there is an adjuster buckle to regulate the fit.
The condition is good overall, with the exception of one repair between two of the front buttons. There are also minor discolourations to the lining. Please study the photographs carefully and form your own opinion regarding the condition.
