DESCRIPTION
This jacket is of Swedish origin, produced sometime during the 1950s by the company Dala Skinnkläder in the small town of Säter, located in the Dalarna region of central Sweden. It has a beautiful medium brown tone and is made from goatskin. The jacket is single-breasted and fastens with a total of five buttons, allowing it to be buttoned all the way up to the neck. It features diagonally cut front pockets and a fixed waistband belt with elastic inserts at the sides. The back is closed and unvented.
The interior is fully lined with a checked wool fabric in the body. There is a single inner pocket on the left side that fastens with a button.
Overall, the condition of the jacket is very good. The leather is soft and supple, and will last for many more years if cared for properly. The only notable flaw is a small hole in the wool lining, low on the right side. This does not affect the jacket’s functionality or appearance when worn, but it could of course be patched if desired.
