DESCRIPTION
This lightweight raglan coat is of Swedish origin, most likely made sometime during the 1940s by Fröjds, a well-known menswear producer of the period. It is crafted from a warm toned light brown cotton fabric.
The coat features vertical front pockets and a single-breasted design with a concealed placket fastening with three buttons. There is a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back is straight with a vent. The interior is fully lined and includes two inner pockets, one on each side.
The condition of the coat is good, though not perfect. There are some stains on the fabric — these are not particularly noticeable when the coat is worn, but can be seen upon closer inspection. There are also a few tears in the lining, particularly around the neck area. One of the buttonholes shows signs of wear on the inside, though this is not visible when the coat is worn. The sleeves have been let down at some point; this is mostly noticeable on the inside, where the lining has been extended, but if examined closely from the outside, you may be able to discern the original sleeve length. Please refer to the photos to form your own assessment of the condition.
