DESCRIPTION
This overcoat is of Swedish origin and was produced by Tiger, a well-known Swedish clothing manufacturer. The label indicates that it was sold new at Westerbergs, a menswear shop in Katrineholm, sometime during the 1930s or 1940s. It is made from a substantial light brown tweed cloth with a fairly prominent herringbone pattern.
The overcoat is single-breasted and has a concealed button fastening. It fastens with four buttons. It has vertical front pockets and a buttonhole in the left lapel. At the back, it is straight-cut and has a single vent. Internally, the overcoat is fully lined and has two internal pockets, one on each side.
The overall condition is good, although there are a couple of points worth mentioning. There is some minor damage to the cloth, most notably in a visible area on the lapel. Fortunately, the character of the cloth means that this type of damage is largely concealed; with a different type of cloth, these defects would probably have been more noticeable. Please study the photos and form your own impression of the condition.
SIZE
The overcoat corresponds approximately to a modern EU 50 (US/UK 40). Please scroll down for exact measurements and seam allowances.
