DESCRIPTION
This overcoat was produced and sold new in Sweden sometime during the 1950s, more specifically at Stenegårds, a menswear and womenswear shop in Norrköping. It is made from an Italian wool cloth with a strongly blue tone.
The overcoat is of raglan construction and is single-breasted. It fastens with three buttons at the front, plus an additional button at the neck for fastening the overcoat all the way up. It has large patch pockets with flaps and a buttonhole in the left lapel. There are tabs at the cuffs, fastened with the same type of black leather buttons as those used elsewhere on the overcoat.
When turned inside out, it becomes apparent that the overcoat differs somewhat from the traditional Swedish way of constructing an overcoat – it is half-lined in the American manner. This makes the overcoat feel somewhat lighter than the typical Swedish winter overcoat.
The condition is practically perfect, almost as new. The only defect we have found is a small mark on the lining. Please study the photos and form your own impression of the condition.
