DESCRIPTION
This overcoat carries no labels whatsoever; however, we can nevertheless conclude that it is most likely Swedish and made sometime during the 1920s. It was very probably bespoke tailored. It is made from a black, felt-like fabric typical of the period.
The coat is single-breasted with a concealed fastening and closes with four buttons. It features horizontal front pockets with flaps. The back is straight with a single vent. Internally, the coat is fully lined and has a relatively low-set inside pocket on the left-hand side.
The condition is excellent — the only minor flaw we can find is a repair to one of the pocket linings. Please study the photographs carefully and form your own opinion regarding the condition.
SIZE
As noted above, this coat was most likely bespoke made. The basis for this assessment lies partly in the sizing — it corresponds to an EU 46 LONG (US/UK36L) in chest measurement; however, the length is considerably generous. A sleeve length of 70 cm would normally be associated with a significantly larger size. The coat was likely made for someone at least 190 cm (6'3") tall, with a slim build. Please scroll down for the exact measurements of the coat.
