DESCRIPTION
This coat is something special — it was tailor-made in 1957 at the department store PUB (Paul U. Bergström) in Stockholm. The fabric is exceptionally heavy and robust, a mottled brown-and-white wool that, from a distance, appears light brown. It is double-breasted with three front buttons and an additional button at the neck for full closure. The coat features vertical front pockets with flaps, and both lapels are finished with buttonholes. At the waist, it is belted with a sturdy belt covered in the same fabric as the coat. The cuffs are turned up, and there is a deep rear vent. The interior is fully lined and includes two high-set inner pockets, one on each side.
The overall condition is very good, with no visible damage when worn. However, a close inspection reveals a few points worth noting. There is some wear on the inside of one cuff, which may make it difficult to lengthen the sleeve neatly should the need arise. On the front, there is a repair — professionally executed and so discreetly done that it is difficult to spot even in photographs, let alone in person. It in no way detracts from the coat’s overall appearance when worn. Please study the photos to form your own assessment of the condition.
