DESCRIPTION
This jacket is of Swedish origin and was made sometime during the 1940s in Stockholm by Steens, a menswear shop that actually occupied the very premises where our own shop is located today (!). It is made from a dark grey pinstripe cloth. It was most likely originally part of a complete suit, but works equally well as an odd jacket, for example worn with a pair of cream-coloured trousers.
The jacket is double-breasted and has three rows of buttons, two of which are used for fastening. It has horizontal front pockets with welt openings and a breast pocket. There is a buttonhole in the left lapel. At the back, it is straight-cut and has a single vent. Internally, it is fully lined and has three internal pockets, two on the left-hand side and one on the right.
The condition is excellent, with no defects to speak of. Please study the photos and form your own impression of the condition.

The jacket corresponds approximately to a modern EU 50 (US/UK 40). Please scroll down for exact measurements.
