DESCRIPTION
This single jacket is of British origin and was sold at John Collier, most likely sometime during the 1960s. It is made from a brown Harris Tweed fabric. When examined closely, the cloth contains a variety of different colours, as tweed fabrics often do, but the overall impression is brown.
The jacket is single-breasted and fastens with three buttons. It has slightly slanted front pockets with flaps and a breast pocket. The cuffs feature a single button. The buttons are leather-covered, which was typical for the period. The back is straight and has a vent. Inside, the jacket is fully lined and has one inner pocket on the right side.
Regarding condition, the overall impression is good, although closer inspection reveals a few minor imperfections. Most of these consist of stains in the lining, but there is also some wear on the lowest buttonhole. On one sleeve, there is a very small hole. The fabric, however, is the kind that masks small flaws well, so when worn the overall impression remains good. Please study the photographs carefully and form your own opinion regarding the condition.
