DESCRIPTION
This jacket bears no labels; however, we can state with confidence that it is of Swedish origin and that it has surpassed 100 years of age. It is tailored from a midnight-blue wool fabric with a subtle twill structure.
The jacket is single-breasted and fastens with three buttons. It features horizontal front pockets with flaps, as well as a breast pocket. There is a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back is straight and closed, without a vent. Internally, it is fully lined and has one inside pocket on the right-hand side. The cuffs are finished with two covered buttons. A third button appears to have been removed at some point; this may be the result of the sleeves having been shortened, though this is purely speculative.
The jacket displays several highly characteristic period details. Note the slanted breast pocket and the closely spaced front buttons. It is also generously cut in length and features a distinctly rounded hem.
With regard to condition, the overall impression is good considering its age. Upon closer inspection, however, a number of flaws become apparent. Most are confined to the lining and are not visible when the jacket is worn. There are also a few minor damages to the outer cloth, including one on the back just below the collar. All flaws are clearly documented in the photographs. Please study the images carefully and form your own opinion regarding the condition.
