DESCRIPTION
These morning trousers are of Swedish origin. They were most likely tailored sometime during the 1940s or possibly the 1950s, and feature a period-typical cut with a high waist and generous leg width. They are made from a traditional fabric used for morning dress trousers – grey stripes in varying shades on a dark grey base.
Morning trousers typically have more old-fashioned detailing than standard suit trousers of the same era. This pair includes both side adjusters and buttons for braces on the outside of the waistband – features that were more common a few decades earlier in Swedish tailoring. They have double pleats and vertical front pockets. The fly is buttoned, and on the back, there are two pockets, each with a flap and button closure.
The condition is excellent, with only some light discolouration in the pocket linings. Please refer to the photos to form your own assessment of the condition.
SIZE
This pair stands out due to its notably large size. Based on the waist measurement, they correspond to a modern EU 64 SHORT(UK/US 54 SHORT). However, the leg length is not quite as generous. There is some fabric left to let the trousers out, but we would not recommend these for anyone taller than 180 cm (6'0").
