DESCRIPTION

These are a pair of very rare trousers, made bespoke in 1939 at Paul U. Bergström (PUB), one of the most renowned department stores in Stockholm throughout the 20th century. Trousers in such a light shade from this era are extremely hard to come by today, as they were typically worn out over the years and discarded once they were no longer wearable.

This pair features a distinct cream tone and is made from a soft, comfortable yet sturdy fabric. These trousers would be excellent as odd trousers in a summery outfit. They have a single pleat, vertical front pockets, belt loops, and a button fly. Inside the waistband, there are buttons for braces. At the back, there is one pocket on each side, both with flaps and button closure. The cuffs are finished with turn-ups.

The condition is very good considering the age and nature of the trousers. However, that does not mean they are flawless. There are some minor imperfections, such as light discolouration in places, though nothing that detracts from their appearance when worn. There is also the occasional small, discreet hole. SIZE

These trousers are generously sized — based on the waist measurement, they correspond to a modern EU 64 (US/UK 54). The inseam is shorter than what is typical for that waist size, but it should be noted that there is some extra fabric available to let out the legs if needed.
