SWEDISH 1940S/1950S GREY LIGHTWEIGHT COAT BY PINGVIN. SIZE CA EU 46 (US/UK36)

DESCRIPTION

This lightweight spring or autumn overcoat is of Swedish origin and bears the Pingvin label. It was originally sold by a shop called Ölunds in Örnsköldsvik, in northern Sweden. The coat is tailored from a plain grey fabric with a subtle twill texture.

The coat is single-breasted and features a concealed fastening with three buttons. It has vertical front pockets and a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back is plain with a single vent. Internally, it is fully lined and fitted with two inner pockets - one on each side.

The condition is excellent, virtually perfect, with the exception of one detail: there is a small repair on one of the shoulders. This does not have any significant impact on the overall appearance of the coat, though it should naturally be noted for anyone considering a purchase. Aside from this, it is a very classic and elegant overcoat. Please study the photographs carefully and form your own impression of the condition.

SIZE

In terms of sizing, it corresponds to a modern EU 46 (UK/US 36). As is always the case with overcoats, the fit will be greatly affected by what is worn underneath. Please note that our size assessment is based on the coat being worn over a jacket.
