öDESCRIPTION
This overcoat was made in England by Rodex sometime during the 1950s or 1960s, and later exported to Sweden where it was sold at Nordiska Kompaniet (NK), one of Stockholm’s most iconic department stores. The coat is made from a khaki-colored cotton fabric with a subtle twill weave. It is single-breasted and fastens with four buttons. It features vertical front pockets, a straight back, and a center vent. The coat is fully lined and has one interior pocket on the right side.
As for condition, the overall impression is good, though a closer inspection reveals some issues. There are some light discolorations in certain areas, the buttonholes have been repaired, and there is a small tear in the lining, to name a few. The sleeves appear to have been let down at some point, and the line from the original hem is faintly visible. Please study the photos to form your own assessment of the condition.
SIZE
The number “52” (US/UK 42) has been handwritten on the lining in the neck, which aligns well with the actual fit. However, we would note that the coat is likely best suited for someone who is not too tall. We therefore estimate the size to be EU 52 SHORT (US/UK 42 SHORT). Please scroll down for the exact measurements.
