DESCRIPTION
This suit is of Swedish origin and was likely produced in the early 1950s, although it may be slightly older. The label is Funk, a youth-oriented brand that enjoyed its heyday during this very period. The suit has a truly striking shade of blue, with bold diagonal stripes in a matching blue tone.
The jacket is single-breasted with two buttons and features a relatively low button stance. It has horizontal welt pockets and a breast pocket. There is a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back is straight with a single vent. One distinctive feature is the cuffs, which each have one large button — a detail often seen on youth suits of the era, known for their standout fabrics and styling. The interior is fully lined and has two inside pockets, one on each side.
The trousers feature single pleats, slanted front pockets, and belt loops. They are fastened with a zip fly. On the back, there are two pockets, though quite different from each other: the left is a small pocket, suitable for something like a pen, while the right is a larger pocket with a button closure.
The overall condition is good, though there are some discolourations in the lining, particularly inside the trouser pockets. There is also the occasional minor stain, but nothing that detracts significantly from the overall impression. Please study the photos carefully and make your own assessment of the condition.
