DESCRIPTION
This lightweight overcoat is of Swedish origin, produced by Ströms in Stockholm, most likely sometime during the 1940s. The colour is taupe — a shade that was typical for this kind of coat during that period.
It is single-breasted and fastens with a total of four buttons, allowing it to be buttoned all the way up to the neck. It features vertical front pockets, and there is a buttonhole in the lapel to secure the collar when the wind picks up. The back is straight with a single vent.
The interior is fully lined and includes one inner pocket on the right side, with a flap and button closure. The overall condition is good, although there is a tear near the bottom of the left sleeve. Please study the photos to form your own opinion of the condition.
SIZE
The lining at the neck is marked “54”, but the size corresponds to a modern EU 52 (UK/US 42). Please scroll down for exact measurements and seam allowances.
