DESCRIPTION
This suit is, in many ways, a typical Swedish suit of its time. It was produced sometime in the second half of the 1960s by SIR. The suit was originally sold in a store. The fabric is a striped textile containing red and grey stripes. The jacket has a typically high buttoning and is fastened with four buttons. It features horizontal front pockets with flaps, and there is a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back is straight with a vent. It has a breast pocket with a flap, which is a rather uncommon detail. Inside, it is fully lined and has four inner pockets: one large pocket on each side and two smaller ones on the left side.
The trousers have a flat front and horizontal front pockets, which is also a typical detail for the time. They fasten with a zipper at the fly.
Overall, the suit is in good condition, but as is often the case, there are some discolorations in the lining, especially in the pockets. However, this does not affect the overall impression when the suit is worn. Please refer to the images to form your own opinion of the condition.
Trivia: The suit was originally sold in a store called Bergmans. This was a company with a location just 100 meters away from our store in Stockholm.
