This coat is of Swedish origin. It was produced sometime during the 1940s or 1950s and is by the brand Clubman, a label manufactured by Widengrens, a well-known Swedish clothing company. It was originally sold new in a shop called Wickbergs in Östersund, in central Sweden. The coat is made from a soft grey wool fabric.
The coat is double-breasted with three rows of buttons, two of which are functional. It features horizontal front pockets with flaps. Each lapel has a buttonhole. At the cuffs, there are decorative buttoned tabs. The back is straight and includes a centre vent. Internally, the coat is fully lined and has an inside pocket on the left-hand side.
Regarding condition, there are a few points to note. Overall, the condition is good. There is some minor wear to the buttonholes, and there is a small moth hole on the side of the coat; however, this does not affect the overall appearance when worn. On close inspection of the back, it is possible to see in the side seams that the coat originally had a belt (see photos). This is not immediately noticeable, and the coat functions perfectly well without a belt, but it is still something worth mentioning. Please study the photographs carefully and form your own opinion of the condition.
