This coat has no labels, so it is not possible to say with certainty exactly who produced it. However, a number of conclusions can still be drawn from studying the garment. It is in all likelihood of Swedish origin and was produced sometime during the 1940s. It is made from a heavy dark grey wool cloth with a subtle herringbone pattern.
The coat is single-breasted and features a concealed button front. It fastens with three buttons. It has vertical front pockets and a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back is straight and has a vent. Inside, it is fully lined and has two inner pockets – one on each side.
The overall condition is good, although there are a number of minor flaws that become apparent upon closer inspection. For example, there is a small area of damage to the cloth on one of the lapels. There are also a few small flaws in the lining, and the buttonhole shows some wear. However, as the fastening is concealed, this has no real impact on the overall appearance. Please study the photographs and form your own view of the condition.
