SWEDISH 1940S/1950S CHOCOLATE BROWN DOUBLE BREASTED SUIT BY KABOM. SIZE CA EU 46-48

DESCRIPTION

This suit is of Swedish origin and was produced sometime in the late 1940s or possibly the early 1950s. It’s made by Kabom, a well-known Swedish ready-to-wear manufacturer that was at its peak during this period. The coat is tailored from a heavy wool fabric in a rich chocolate brown.

It is double-breasted, with three rows of buttons, of which two are functional. At the top, there’s an additional button that allows you to fasten the coat all the way up at the neck – a practical detail for cold and windy days. The coat features horizontal front pockets, and each lapel has a buttonhole. At the back, there is a half belt (martingale), a typical detail for this type of coat. The interior is fully lined and has two inside pockets, one on each side.

This coat makes a strong overall impression, but a closer inspection reveals several small flaws in the fabric, all of which are clearly shown in the photos. While these imperfections don’t significantly affect the overall appearance, it’s important to be aware of them before considering a purchase – and the price reflects this.

That said, we believe certain garments warrant a higher degree of tolerance when they are distinctive and hard to come by. This coat stands out thanks to its deep chocolate tone, which also helps draw attention away from the minor flaws.
