DESCRIPTION
This coat is of Swedish origin, made sometime during the 1960s by Junex and sold by Gulins. Gulins is a well-known Swedish brand that started as a smaller men’s outfitter but later evolved into a chain of stores offering both men’s and women’s clothing. Gulins is still in business today, but now focuses on uniforms and clothing for law enforcement.
The coat is made from a wool fabric with a distinct herringbone pattern in grey. It is double-breasted with three rows of buttons, all of which are functional. It has horizontal front pockets with flaps and a breast pocket. Breast pockets are rare on Swedish coats, but in the 1960s, this detail became more common. The lapels are relatively wide, and there is a buttonhole on the left one. The back is straight and features a high vent. Inside, it is fully lined and has an inner pocket, placed low on the left side.
The condition is overall very good, with the only sign of wear being a small tear in the lining near the inner pocket. However, this does not affect the overall appearance when the coat is worn. On the outside, it is in perfect condition.
This coat has a silhouette similar to that of bespoke coats, despite being a ready-to-wear garment. It has a clearly defined waist and soft, rounded shoulders.
Please study the photos and form your own opinion about the condition of the coat.
