DESCRIPTION
This jacket is of Swedish origin. Unfortunately, there are no labels indicating the manufacturer, but it was produced sometime during the 1950s. The only label present indicates that it is made of genuine goatskin. The jacket fastens with a zipper and has diagonally positioned front pockets. The sleeve cuffs have buttons to adjust the sleeve width, and there are buckles at the bottom to adjust the size at the hem. The back is straight and lacks a vent. Inside, it is fully lined with a checkered wool fabric in the body and a thinner red cotton fabric in the sleeves.
Overall, the jacket has a nice patina, with some minor damage to the leather. The lining is in good condition but would benefit from a cleaning. The buckles at the bottom have rusted and become bent, but these can easily be replaced if desired. The zipper works as it should. Please review the photos and form your own opinion on the condition.
SIZE
In size, the jacket corresponds to a modern EU 46-48 (UK/US 36-38). Please scroll down for the exact measurements.

Sweden had a prominent leather industry during the first half of the 20th century, largely concentrated in Malung, in the province of Dalarna. Some of that heritage can be found here with us in the form of leather jackets in various styles, often made from goatskin. The high level of craftsmanship and the quality of the leather are distinctive features of garments from this period.

Renovateur Cream is the “must-have” product for any leather goods aficionado. Containing beeswax, lanolin and mink oil, it gently cleans while adding nourishment and protection to the leather. Renovateur Cream is highly regarded by leather care specialists as the best leather care product in the world!
Ensure all dirt and dust is removed from the shoes. Buff shoes with a brush. For a more in-depth clean, use the Saphir Beauté du Cuir Cleaning Lotion (ref. 0544).
Apply Crème 1925 sparingly using a cotton cloth or the Saphir Médaille d’Or Spreading Brush (ref. 2601).
Massage into the leather in a circular motion, enabling the cream to penetrate and nourish the leather. This will ensure a good layer of protection. Leave it to dry for one hour.
Polish leather with a bristle brush then finish with a wool cloth or glove.
Once a base coat of Crème 1925 has been applied, simply re-buff the shoe following wear to maintain the shine.
