PORTUGUESE 1950S/1960S DARK GREY FELT HAT BY DUARTES. SIZE EU 55

DESCRIPTION 

This hat was produced in Portugal sometime during the 1950s or 1960s. It is by the brand Wembley, a name that may easily suggest British origin. However, inside the sweatband there is a small label indicating the country of origin. The hat was imported into Sweden and sold new by Carl-Axel, a well-known men’s fashion retailer with several shops in Stockholm during this period.

The hat is dark-grey in colour and features a matching hatband and edge binding. The interior is lined with black silk bearing the Wembley logo at the crown, along with the importer’s logo. It has a black leather sweatband with both logos stamped in gold.

In terms of condition, it is very good, effectively close to new. The hat does not appear to have been worn much, if at all. Please review the images and form your own assessment of the condition.
