DESCRIPTION
This hat is of Austrian origin and was produced by J. Heinr. Ita, a maker known for high-quality hats. It most likely dates from the 1950s, possibly later. The hat was imported to Sweden and sold new by A.F. Bodecker in Stockholm, Sweden’s most renowned hatter.
In colour, it is a warm chocolate brown, with a matching hatband and edge binding. The interior is lined with a light-coloured silk. Both the maker’s and the importer’s logos are present at the base of the lining. It features a mid-brown leather sweatband, with both logos repeated in gold lettering.
The condition is very good overall. The only point to note is light discolouration to the lining, something that is naturally not visible when the hat is worn. Please study the images carefully and form your own assessment of the condition.
SIZE
The inner circumference of the hat measures 58 centimeters. It can be stretched approximately half a size using a hat stretcher. Please scroll down for exact measurements.
