DESCRIPTION
This black homburg hat appears to have been produced in England by Harris. Our uncertainty regarding the country of origin is simply due to our lack of detailed knowledge about the brand; however, it is most likely a British firm. It was originally imported and sold as new in Sweden, most likely in the 1940s or 1950s.
In colour, it is black and features a matching black hatband and edge binding. The interior is lined with a light-coloured silk bearing the maker’s mark at the base. It has a black leather sweatband. The original owner’s initials are present in the sweatband. Behind the sweatband is a label intended for the owner’s contact details. The overall condition is good, with no significant damage to note. Please study the images carefully and form your own assessment of the condition.
SIZE
The inner circumference of the hat measures 56.5 centimetres. It can be stretched by approximately half a size using a hat stretcher. Please scroll down for exact measurements.
