GERMAN 1950S/1960S BLACK FELT HAT BY WEGENER. SIZE EU 57,5

DESCRIPTION 

This hat is of German origin and was produced by Wegener, a well-known German hat manufacturer. It most likely dates from the 1950s, or possibly the early 1960s. It was imported into Sweden and sold new by a shop called Torells Herrekipering in Stockholm. 

The hat is black in colour  and it features a matching hatband and edge binding. Inside, it is lined with silk—black along the sides with a lighter crown lining. The base of the crown bears Wegener’s logo. It has a dark brown leather sweatband, stamped in gold lettering with both the manufacturer’s and the importer’s logos. Behind the sweatband, there is also a label with the original owner’s name.

The condition is excellent, virtually as new, with no signs of wear. Please study the photographs carefully to form your own impression of the condition.

The inner circumference of the hat measures 58,5 centimeters. It can be stretched approximately half a size using a hat stretcher. Please scroll down for exact measurements.
