DESCRIPTION
The origin of this hat is unknown. It is marked “Kemton” on the inside of the crown, but we are not aware of any manufacturer by that name. It was most likely produced sometime during the 1960s. The hat was imported into Sweden and sold new by Johléns, a men’s outfitter in Uppsala.
The hat is black in colour and features a matching black hatband and edge binding. Inside, it is lined with purple silk. At the base of the crown there is a logo bearing the name “Kemton”, along with the retailer’s logo. The black leather sweatband is stamped in gold lettering with both logos.
The condition is good. It appears that the hat has been worn slightly, but nothing that affects the overall impression when worn. Please study the photographs carefully to form your own assessment of the condition.
SIZE
The inner circumference of the hat measures 57 centimeters. It can be stretched approximately half a size using a hat stretcher. Please scroll down for exact measurements.
