DESCRIPTION
This fine homburg hat is of British origin and was made by Joseph & Ward, most likely sometime in the late 1920s or early 1930s. It was imported into Sweden and sold new by Hattkompaniet, a hat shop in Stockholm.
The colour is very dark blue, almost black. It features a matching dark blue hatband and edge binding. Inside, it is lined with light-coloured silk, decorated with the maker’s logo at the base of the crown. The importer’s name is also present in the lining. It has a light brown leather sweatband, stamped in gold lettering with both the manufacturer’s and the importer’s logos.
In terms of condition, the hat is excellent, virtually as new. The condition of the sweatband suggests very little use - if any at all. It may well be entirely unworn. Please study the photographs carefully to form your own impression of the condition.
SIZE
The inner circumference of the hat measures 58 centimeters. It can be stretched approximately half a size using a hat stretcher. Please scroll down for exact measurements.
