AUSTRIAN 1950S/1960S BROWN LONG FUR FELT HAT BY DOBESCH. SIZE EU 56,5

DESCRIPTION 

This hat is of Austrian origin and was produced sometime during the 1950s or 1960s by Dobesch, a well-known Austrian hat manufacturer from Vienna. It was imported into Sweden and sold by Åhléns, a Swedish department store chain.

The hat is made from long-haired brown felt and features a matching brown hatband. Inside, it is lined with brown silk, decorated with the maker’s logo at the base of the crown. It has a dark brown leather sweatband stamped with both the manufacturer’s and the importer’s logos.

Overall, the condition is very good. The only points to note are that the stitching joining the ends of the sweatband has come undone, as well as some discolouration to the lining. These issues are, of course, not visible when the hat is worn. Please study the photographs carefully to form your own impression of the condition.
