ITALIAN 1930S BLACK FELT HAT BY BORSALINO. SIZE EU 57,5

DESCRIPTION 

This hat is of Italian origin and was produced by the legendary hatmaker Borsalino, most likely sometime during the 1930s. It was imported into Sweden and sold new by Paul U. Bergström, a well-known department store in Stockholm.

The hat is black in colour and features a matching black hatband. The hatband is period-correct, being relatively wide. Inside, it is lined with silk—black along the sides with a champagne-coloured crown lining decorated with Borsalino’s logo. It has a black leather sweatband stamped in gold lettering with both the manufacturer’s and the importer’s logos, as well as the original owner’s initials.

In terms of condition, the hat is excellent, virtually as new, with no obvious signs of wear. Please study the photographs carefully to form your own impression of the condition.
