SWEDISH 1910S/1920S BLUE FELT HAT BY STAR JUNIOR. SIZE EU 56

DESCRIPTION 

This hat is by Star Junior, which indicates that it is a youth model. It appears to have been produced in Sweden, most likely sometime during the 1910s or 1920s. It was sold new by a shop called Nya Beklädnadsaffären.

The hat is distinctly blue in colour and features a matching grey-blue hatband. Inside, it is lined with light-coloured silk with a dark blue ground. The base of the crown bears both the brand name and the retailer’s logo. It has a dark blue leather sweatband, stamped in gold lettering with the retailer’s name.

The condition is good considering its age, though there are some imperfections that become apparent upon closer inspection. These mainly consist of discolouration, both to the lining and to the hatband. Please study the photographs carefully to form your own impression of the condition.
