DESCRIPTION
This hat is of Italian origin and by the maker Carlo Lambardi. It is marked with the Olympic rings, which naturally brings to mind the 1960 Rome Olympic Games. We do, however, believe the hat to be somewhat earlier, though it may of course have been produced in connection with an earlier Olympic Games.
The colour is best described as light brown. The hat is made of felt with a slightly longer nap and features a finely braided hatband in a slightly darker shade.
Inside the crown, the maker’s name and the word “OLYMPIC” are printed. The hat has a light brown leather sweatband decorated with the Olympic rings. The sweatband is also stamped with the maker’s name and the text “puro feltro”.
Overall, the condition is good. The only points to note are a few minor spots in the felt, which are not particularly noticeable and are only apparent upon closer inspection. Please study the photographs carefully to form your own impression of the condition.
SIZE
The inner circumference of the hat measures 57,5 centimeters. It can be stretched approximately half a size using a hat stretcher. Please scroll down for exact measurements.
