ITALIAN 1950S/1960S BLACK FELT HAT BY BARBISIO. SIZE EU 58

DESCRIPTION 

This hat is of Italian origin and was produced by the legendary hatmaker Barbisio, sometime during the 1950s or 1960s. It was imported into Sweden and sold new by Rytterqvists, a chain with several men’s outfitters in Stockholm.

In colour, it is black and features a matching black hatband and edge binding. The interior is lined with a black silk fabric bearing both the manufacturer’s and the retailer’s logos. It has a black leather sweatband, with both logos stamped in gold.

As for condition, it is very good, more or less as new. The sweatband shows no signs of wear, and the hat has likely been worn very little, if at all. Please study the photographs carefully and form your own opinion of the condition.

The inner circumference of the hat measures 58 centimeters. It can be stretched approximately half a size using a hat stretcher. Please scroll down for exact measurements.
