PORTUGUESE 1950S/1960S DARK GREY FELT HAT BY EICHAP. SIZE EU 57,5

DESCRIPTION 

This hat is of Portuguese origin and is made by Eichap (Empresa Industrial de Chapelaria, S.A.). It was most likely produced sometime during the 1950s or 1960s. It was imported into Sweden and sold new by MEA, a Swedish department store specialising in men’s and women’s clothing.

In colour, it is marked as grey and features a matching hatband in an even darker grey tone. The interior is lined with a champagne-coloured silk fabric bearing the manufacturer’s logo. It has a black leather sweatband displaying the importer’s logo.

Overall, the condition is good, but there are a few points to note. There is a small, barely noticeable hole on the front of the hat, and some minor discolouration in the lining. None of this affects the overall appearance when the hat is worn. Please study the photographs carefully and form your own opinion of the condition.
