DESCRIPTION
This elegant fedora was made by the legendary Italian hatmaker Borsalino. It was most likely produced sometime during the 1960s or 1970s and was originally sold new by the Poretti shop in Lugano, a store that was originally dedicated entirely to hats.
The hat is light grey in colour, with a contrasting black hatband. The interior is lined with a light silk fabric, printed with the Borsalino logo. Within the logo, the word “idrorepellente” can be read, indicating that the felt has been treated to be water-repellent. The sweatband is black and features both the Borsalino logo and the original owner’s initials.
As for condition, it is overall very good. The only thing to note is a few minor discolourations to the lining, which are of course not visible when the hat is worn. The felt is very soft and easily shapeable. Please study the photographs carefully and form your own opinion of the condition.
SIZE
The inner circumference of the hat measures 56,5 centimeters. It can be stretched approximately half a size using a hat stretcher. Please scroll down for exact measurements.
