BRITISH 1950S/1960S BLACK FELT HAT BY MAC-HARRIS. SIZE EU 54

DESCRIPTION 

We are not previously familiar with the hat’s manufacturer, Mac-Harris, but it is most likely that the hat was produced in England sometime during the 1950s or 1960s. It was imported to Sweden and sold new by Grattes, a clothing shop in Nybro that is, in fact, still in business today.

In colour it is black throughout, including the felt as well as the inner and outer hatbands. The interior is lined with a light-coloured silk fabric bearing the manufacturer’s name. The black leather sweatband features both the manufacturer’s and the importer’s logos.

The condition is excellent, with no obvious signs of use. Please study the photographs and form your own opinion of the condition.

The inner circumference of the hat measures 54 centimeters. It can be stretched approximately half a size using a hat stretcher. Please scroll down for exact measurements.
