DESCRIPTION 

This hat is of Swedish origin and was produced by Karlskrona Hattfabrik, Sweden’s most renowned hat manufacturer, sometime during the 1950s or 1960s. The hat was originally sold at Björklunds Hattaffär in Kalmar, in southern Sweden.

It is made from long-haired dark grey felt. The interior is lined with silk fabric bearing both the manufacturer’s logo and that of the original retailer. It features a medium-brown leather sweatband, also stamped with the two logos. The sweatband additionally states that the hat is impregnated, meaning it is designed to withstand snow and harsh weather.

The condition is excellent, with no signs of wear whatsoever to the sweatband. There is slight discolouration to the lining along the edges, which is more likely due to storage than use. Please study the photographs and form your own opinion of the condition.
