DESCRIPTION
This overcoat is of Swedish origin and was tailored by Molin & Möcklin in Stockholm — a firm that, at the time, was among the most prestigious tailoring houses in Sweden. As for dating, it is difficult to determine precisely, but it was most likely made sometime during the 1920s, as several details point to that era. It is made from black wool and features a black Persian lamb collar.
The coat is double-breasted with three rows of buttons, two of which are functional. It has horizontal front pockets with substantial flaps. The back is straight with a vent. Inside, it is fully lined and fitted with two inner pockets, one on each side.
Considering its age, the overall condition is excellent. There are really only two minor points to note — one is a small flaw in the Persian lamb collar, and the other is that the sleeves have been lengthened at some point. The slight wear that had developed at the original cuff edge before the alteration has created a faint, barely visible line just above the current sleeve ends. Neither of these issues affects the overall impression, but they should naturally be mentioned for full transparency. All in all, this coat is an outstanding example of Swedish tailoring craftsmanship from the 1920s. Please study the photos carefully and form your own opinion of its condition.
