DESCRIPTION
This dark grey suit is of Swedish origin and was likely made in the early 1950s. The manufacturer is Essge, and it was made for a store called Strömberg & Co, which was located in Stockholm.
The jacket is single-breasted and fastens with three buttons. It has horizontal welt pockets and a breast pocket. There is a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back of the jacket is straight and lacks a vent. Inside, it is fully lined and features three inner pockets—one large on each side and a smaller one on the left side.
The trousers have double pleats, slanted front pockets, and belt loops for braces. They have a button fly, and inside the waistband, there are buttons for braces. At the back, the trousers have two pockets, both with button closures. The trousers also feature cuffs.
Externally, the suit is in very good condition, with no signs of wear or usage in the fabric. Internally, there are some discolorations in the lining, but this does not affect the overall appearance and is not visible when the suit is worn. Please study the pictures and form your own opinion on the condition.
SIZE
In size, it corresponds to a modern EU 52 (US/UK 42). There is plenty of material to let out in the waist of the trousers if necessary. Please scroll down for exact measurements and seam allowances.
