DESCRIPTION
This suit has no labels, but we believe it is of British origin. It was likely made sometime during the 1930s or 1940s. It is crafted from a grey lightly mottled wool fabric. The jacket is single-breasted and fastens with three buttons. It has horizontal front pockets and a breast pocket. The lapels are pointed, with a buttonhole on the left one. The back is straight, and it is unvented. Inside, it is fully lined and has two inner pockets, one on each side.
The waistcoat has four front pockets and fastens with six buttons. The back has an adjustable buckle for sizing.
The trousers have a high waist, double pleats, and vertical front pockets. They feature a button fly, buttons on the waistband for braces, and cuffs. At the back, there is a pocket on the right side with a flap and button fastening.
The condition is overall very good, with little to remark on. There are no obvious signs of wear or usage. The braces buttons are mismatched, but they are not visible under the waistcoat, and of course, it would be easy to replace them if desired. The lining is also in good condition overall. There may be a slight discoloration in the pocket linings, but this is natural for such an old suit. Please look at the pictures and form your own opinion of the condition.
