This coat was made bespoke and was delivered on November 28th, 1929, by the tailoring company Carl Ekbom in Uppsala, a city just north of Stockholm. It is crafted from a heavy black wool fabric, typical of the period. The coat is double-breasted with three rows of buttons, all of which are functional. It features horizontal flap pockets and buttonholes on both lapels. The back is straight and has a vent. Inside, it is fully lined and includes three inner pockets: one on each side at chest level, plus a generously sized pocket further down on the left side, which closes with a button.
The condition of the coat is generally good, with no holes or major damage. There is an area along the inside of the collar that has some staining. Otherwise, the condition is excellent given the coat’s nearly 100-year age. Please study the photos and form your own opinion on the general condition of the coat.
