DESCRIPTION
This suit bears no labels whatsoever, but we can still say with confidence that it was produced in Sweden, most likely in the late 1940s. The low double-breasted fastening seen on the jacket was particularly popular during that time.
The jacket is double-breasted and features horizontal front flap pockets and a breast pocket. There is a buttonhole on the left lapel. The back is straight and ventless. Internally, the jacket is fully lined and has one inner pocket on the left side.
The trousers have a high waist, double pleats, and slightly slanted front pockets. They feature a zip fly, and on the outside of the waistband there are buttons for braces. At the back, there is a single pocket on the right-hand side, complete with a flap and button closure.
The overall condition of the suit is excellent. The lining is also in good shape, apart from slight discolouration in the underarm areas and the crotch of the trousers—nothing that detracts from the overall impression. Please study the photos carefully to form your own assessment of the condition.
SIZE
The size is between a modern EU 52 (US/UK 42) and EU 54 (US/UK 44). The waist measurement corresponds to a modern EU 54 (UK/US 44) – or possibly even slightly larger – and there is also plenty of fabric available to let out further, should it be needed.
