This coat is of Swedish origin, made sometime in the 1930s by Elson. It is crafted from a heavy midnight blue wool fabric. The coat is double-breasted with three rows of buttons, of which all three are used. It features wide lapels with buttonholes on both sides. The coat has horizontal front pockets with flaps. The back has a belt and a vent. Inside, it is fully lined and has two inner pockets, one on each side.
The condition is generally good, but there are a few things to note. The buttons have been moved slightly at some point, and if you examine the fabric closely, you can see where they were originally. There are some small damages to the fabric, but nothing that significantly impacts the overall appearance. Overall a very elegant coat. Please study the photos and form your own opinion on the condition of the coat.
SIZE
This is a small size. It corresponds to approximately a modern EU 44 (US/UK 34). Someone who wears EU 46 (US/UK 36) might be able to wear the coat, provided they don't have a thick garment underneath. However, the sleeve length indicates that it is likely most suitable for someone no taller than 170 cm (5'6") for a good fit. Please scroll down for the exact measurements.
