It bears the “Holzon” label and was sold new at Hildings, a shop in Lysekil in southern Sweden. It was produced sometime during the latter part of the 1940s or possibly the early 1950s. The colour of the cloth is somewhat unusual; we would describe it as petroleum blue.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe overcoat is double-breasted and has two rows of buttons, with the low button stance typical of the period. The design of the front pockets is also characteristic of the period; they are vertical. There are buttoned tabs at the cuffs. At the back, it has a belt, giving it a certain degree of waist definition. Internally, it is fully lined and has one internal pocket on each side.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eOverall, the condition is good, but there is some damage to the cloth that should be taken into consideration when considering a purchase. It is located low down on the front of the overcoat, and the damage is clearly documented in the photos. There are also a few minor areas of discolouration near the lapel, which may possibly disappear with further cleaning.
